When it comes to your own online profile, you will have to know the basic rules. The profile has to be interesting, because this is the first method by which another person can find you.
Rule 1: Never Lie!
No, you didn’t access the wrong page and I’m not gonna start reciting from the bible. Still, the truth is a very important factor in online profiles. A profile with nice pics might assure initial success, of course. But what’s gonna happened at the date when we have to explain the differences? Because we all are human beings, we are quite sensitive to lies.
Rule 2: Point out your different self.
All humans are beautiful in a way, all are unique in a certain manner and all are wonderful. You and me both have our defects and qualities which we take pride in.
Describe yourself with all possible details you can thing of. This doesn’t mean you have to give out any personal data, it only means you must point out your ideas and qualities. We all are nasty secret diggers and like to take a peek into someone’s life. A profile with lots of real yet interesting data will surely stand out. You can expect to be contacted by matches that like your music or share your interest in used ovation guitars.
Rule 3: Write correctly!
Online you are allowed to use certain characters and abbreviations that are in fact grammar and orthography mistakes, but not here. But words like ‘dont’ or ‘Im’ and ‘l8er’ do not belong on a “smart” profile. SMS talking and other chatting abbreviations are not recommendable when completing your social networking profile. You never know who you might be coming across and the way you write is your first fingerprint when online. A proofread and interesting page tells the reader that it belongs to a person worth knowing. Use your sense of humor and write in an interesting and detailed manner.
Rule 4: Choose GOOD photos.
We are not all supermodels or photogenic, but this no reason to stop trying. There’s a person for anyone, and unfortunately the first choosing criteria is, for most people, the one based on looks. Because of this truth, we must choose some pictures of us that are both impeccable and original. Make sure you are visible in the photo and better choose some prime plans.
