Filipina Dating Tips

The Filipina dating scene has its own peculiarities that derive from the country’s culture and traditions, but the considerations one should take are pretty much similar to those in line with females of all races. For those who are new to the Filipino dating scene, here are a few tips to guide you.

Pre-date Preparations

Filipinas are hygienic by nature. Daily bathing is common among Filipino practice. Some may think that dirty-looking or the ragged type can impress the females especially the Filipinas, that’s a misconception up till now that many people believed. If you aim to impress her, the first thing you’d want to do before the date is to take a good, long bath. Of course, you have to make other hygiene considerations as well. Here’s a checklist that might be helpful:

-Are your nails clean?

-Have you gargled with mouthwash?

-Is your hair presentable? Have you recently had a haircut? Have you combed/styled it?

-Are your shoes polished?

-Are your clothes clean and well-pressed?

-Are you well-shaven?

Remember that first impressions last. Nobody is expected to look immaculate every single day. But looking or smelling unclean will give your date the impression that you have poor personal hygiene all the time. This will prevent her from wanting to see you again and finding out what a great person you really are inside.

The Actual Date

Be there at the time you’ve agreed on, or five minutes early. Even if “Filipino time” tends to operate at least a half-hour late, a Filipina might think she is being stood up if you do not get there on time. It is common courtesy to arrive before she does. Just don’t get there overly early- it may pressure her into speeding up her pre-date preparations and make her frazzled.

Be a gentleman. Hold the door for her, let her walk through the door first, pull her chair, and be polite to her alongside to other people around her. When it comes to Filipina dating in particular, a gentleman is always favored. Filipina like to feel special by treating her like a lady she’ll think that you’re a fantastic person.

Be sure to give her sincere compliments. Always tell her that she looks great even after you ask how she is. The best compliments are those that are genuinely meant, and specific. Women loves compliments, they like to feel special. However, don’t compliment her too often it makes her think that you’re just seeking approval. Do not tell her white lies, such as telling her she looks very slim when she is in fact, quite chubby. She will see through them.

Listen to what your date has to say. Women like men who are truly interested in what she has to say. Refrain from hogging the conversational floor or from talking about yourself all night. While you would like to impress her, it will have the opposite effect if she will end up thinking that you are disgustingly self-centered

Don’t just act as if you’re listening. Ask questions when you’re curious or interested about certain things she said, which you will be anyway, if you truly pay attention.

Pick up the tab. It is customary for gentlemen in the Filipino dating scene to pay for a date. If the two of you enter a commitment, however, she will no longer expect you to keep picking up the tab. Don’t worry.

After the Date

There is no right answer to whether you should kiss on the first date or more. This depends strongly on your date’s interpretation or body language if she wants to do it with you or not.

It’s not necessary to call after your first date, don’t be too pressured on this thing. Your actions at this point should be base on how the date went well. If you don’t click then there’s no pressure for you to get a second date with him. However if you’re interested for a second date go give her a call for your second date.

The Filipina dating scene has evolved, along with the rest of the world. Your success in it will depend largely on your chemistry as a couple. Don’t get discouraged if your first try doesn’t turn out so well. Consider it as valuable practice for when the right one comes along.
